October 13, 2010

While township and city firefighters have said they don’t plan to issue fines for violating the ban, they do say the ban will be enforced.
“We’re going to go put out the fire, that’s enforcing the ban,” said Thomas E. LaRue, Columbia City fire chief.
“There will also be the added embarrassment of having to have the fire department come out.”

Inebriation can sometimes lead to visions of pink elephants and flying pigs.
But the pink ducks flying through the air at the CCHS gym Wednesday night are real and have nothing to do with too much to drink.
After all, the chuck a duck contest is just part of the CCHS volleyball team’s Dig for Cure night.
The volleyball team, in conjunction with breast cancer awareness month, has a series of fundraisers taking place at their match Wednesday with all proceeds helping to provide cancer services for Whitley County residents.
