COLUMBIA CITY–– The Lady Eagles Golf team ‘lit it up’ Tuesday night against the Huntington North Vikings with a score of 179-205.
“This is what you call ‘lighting it up,’” Columbia City head coach Jim Thompson said.
The Lady Eagles, now 5-9, posted their lowest score of the season.
“We could’ve beaten almost anybody tonight, this is a real solid score for high school girls’ golf,” Thompson said.
KENDALLVILLE — The rough and long road in the Northeast Hoosier Conference can be tough anytime a team is away from home.
On Tuesday, Columbia City boys’ tennis got a strong test in a trip to East Noble. The Knights had the Eagles down in two positions after one set.
Forcing a third set in both, City rallied for its third win in the NHC 4-1.
The Columbia City cross country teams were on the road Tuesday night at Garrett in a three-way meet with the Railroaders and New Haven. WARSAW — There are nights when everything goes right and there are nights when almost nothing goes right.
Unfortunately for the Columbia City Lady Eagle volleyball team, Tuesday night’s trip to Warsaw was a whole lot of the latter.
The Lady Eagles had difficulty sustaining any consistency against the Lady Tigers and fell 25-15, 25-12, and 25-12.
A formal agreement between Parkview Health System Inc. and Columbia City for a financial contribution to the local match for the state Route 205 project is now in place.
The city council voted 4-1 Tuesday to accept up to $356,903 from Parkview for half of the local match for the planned multi-million project on state Route 205 in coming years.
