The day-after-Thanksgiving "Black Friday" marketing push by Whitley County-area businesses begins in earnest Tuesday and Wednesday in The Post & Mail newspaper.
A total of 19 pre-printed advertising supplements – including the hyper-local Thanksgiving Gift Guide – will be inserted in the Tuesday and Wednesday Post & Mail.
Additionally, local advertising bargains will appear throughout the news pages of both publications.

Farm Bureau survey shows that classic Thanksgiving dinner costs more in 2011

INDIANAPOLIS – The retail cost of menu items for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner including turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie and all the usual trimmings increased by nearly 8 percent this year, according to an informal survey of grocery store prices conducted by Indiana Farm Bureau.
