Water tower contract mulled by city

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City Water Department Superintendent Mike Dear will have to wait a few weeks to see if the town’s current agreement with its water tower maintenance company will be extended.
“This is the largest company in the country that does the cleaning,” said Dear Friday at the regular meeting of the Columbia City Board of Works and Safety.

Home break-in reported in Columbia City

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City police are investigating a home burglary that happened Monday in the Heritage Place subdivision.
According to Det. Tim Longenbaugh, a home on Cambridge Drive was forcibly entered between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday.
