CHURUBUSCO â Lady Eagles volleyball won for the second night amidst a three-day home stretch Wednesday, beating Canterbury in three straight games.
The final score in favor of âBusco was 25-13, 25-16 and 25-23.
Head Coach Trinda Goings mentioned the team playing on consecutive nights.
âFor us to come back and still do some things that we needed to do after a big win last night; we played solid,â said Goings.
In the first game, Churubusco took an early lead and with the score at 5-2, Danielle Pippenger took the serve and didnât relinquish it until she helped build the Eagle lead to 10-2.

COLUMBIA CITY â The Lady Eagles hosted Whitko for its senior night Wednesday night at the Max Gandy Athletic Field.
Though the Lady Wildcats lost 2-0, Coach Gary Sims was more than pleased with the teamâs performance.
âI am so proud of the girls tonight,â Sims said. âColumbia City is a big team and we competed well against them.â
The Lady Eagles have twice the roster size of Whitko, which is in its first season of IHSAA-sanctioned soccer.
