FORT WAYNE â€” Churubuscoâ€™s football team is seeking revenge after a frustrating 34-7 loss last season in the sectional title game.
The Knights come into this yearâ€™s sectional final game with an uncharacteristic 7-4 record, after only posting two losses from 2010-11.
Luers has had a difficult season, with the hype around the firing of coach Matt Lindsay mid-season due to a scandal involving inappropriate video clips on his computer.
Since Lindsay left the field Sept. 13, the Knights have lost two games, including a forfeit to Wayne High School.
Jim Lee Binkley, 78, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born in Columbia City, he worked for Perfection Biscuit Company for 40 years, retiring in 1996.
He was very active as a labor union leader.
He was a member of Harvester Avenue Missionary Church.
He was an avid reader, fisherman and a fan of the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Notre Dame Football and Indiana University basketball.
Eileen Rennecker , 82, of Whitley County, passed away at 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Rennecker was born on April 14, 1930, in Hampshire, England, a daughter of Fredrick Charles and Bessie (Dunning) Holmes.
She spent her formative years in Hampshire, and graduated from Fairfield Senior in 1944. In her teens she witnessed the battle of Britain from her backyard.
On Feb. 8, 1947, she was married in Basingstoke, England at the age of 16 to Alfred S. Hutton.
