BREAKING REGIONAL NEWS: Body found floating in Fort Wayne river

Fort Wayne police were called Saturday morning to the old Wells Street Bridge in Fort Wayne with a report of a body floating in the river.
According to a police report, a 911 call was received from a fisherman who saw the body floating in the water.
Officer’s arrived along with the Fort Wayne Fire Departments water rescue squad. The fire department, with the use of their boat, were able to secure the body on the north shore line. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources, along with the Allen County Coroner’s Office, were contacted and assumed responsibility over the investigation.

COLUMBIA CITY — After Whitko’s archery team competed at the state level March 16, the team came came back with a Team Spirit Award, as well as having a student, Cody Gardner, place fourth in his division. The tournament was held at the Verizon Center in Muncie.
“It’s the second time they’ve won the Spirit Award for the school in the state, they’ve got a lot of school spirit with these kids,” said Coach Bill Green.
