Ashley Morgan Storm, 19, of Columbia City, died at 1:05 p.m. as the result of a motorcycle accident Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born March 16, 1993, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Todd Alan and Kimberly Ann (Kruse) Storm.
She attended Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School through sixth grade, Carroll Middle School and recently graduated from Columbia City High School with the class of 2012.
Zovelda M. Andris, 93, of Bloomington formerly of Saybrook and Gibson City, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Martin Health Center in Bloomington, Ill.
Mrs. Andris was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Ormas, Ind. A daughter of Harry Leroy Price and Ruth (Ramsey) Goodrich, she married Russell Andris on Feb. 9, 1946, in Chicago. He died Feb. 5, 2002.
Myrna J. Ennis, age 72, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Since April, 2011, she resided at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntington.
Born Sept. 27, 1939, in Laud, she was the daughter of Ralph E. and Luella M. (Miler) Esterline.

COLUMBIA CITY — The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and the City of Columbia City have agreed to postpone the city’s next phase of the Long Term Control Plan.
The city received a letter from IDEM last week, which postponed Phase 2B for two years past its scheduled date. The original plan called for design to begin in 2015 with construction to take place in 2017.
In May, city officials began working with IDEM to request the new timeline.
COLUMBIA CITY — The Whitley County Commissioners, working in conjunction with the Whitley County Fire Chief's Association, have issued a burn ban for the county effective at noon Monday.
According to Commissioner Chairman Don Amber, the ban will continue until July 2 at 1 p.m., "which coincides with the next commissioners meeting."
Amber said the three-member panel would re-assess the ban at that meeting.

COLUMBIA CITY — Anne Plunkett, technology director, told the Whitley County Consolidated School (WCCS) board last week that her team had another successful year.
“The success can be seen in the many events that happen on a weekly, daily or even hourly basis that require technology,” said Plunkett. “The majority of these events happen without a thought as a to whether the technology will be working and available for these events to take place.”

Mark E. Macy, 56, of Etna Troy Township, died at 8:05 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at his home. He had been in failing health since March.
He was born July 17, 1955, in Wolf Lake, a son of Thomas O. and Viola M. Burns. His formative years were spent in Thorncreek Township. He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1973.
On Dec. 21, 1974, he was united in marriage to Kathy Jeanette Ellison. They made their home in Columbia City for six months, before moving to Etna Troy Township. Mrs. Macy died June 7, 1978.
