The car is scheduled to be hauled by trailer to the local steel tank manufacturer on Tuesday, weather permitting, according to Carl Norris, STAFCO vice president and general manager.
Norris estimated the car should arrive around 10 a.m., but added that the time could vary.
COLUMBIA CITY â Pat Mossburg, with the Salvation Army of Whitley County, picks up the phone in her office several times a day, taking calls from people dealing with life-changing situations. Whether assisting families with rent or simply offering a comforting ear to listen, Mossburg has a caring heart for the community.
âItâs unbelievable how many people are hurting, and how many I have to turn down because you get âXâ amount of dollars that come in and there is only so much you can do with it,â said Mossburg. âMoney is tight.â
COLUMBIA CITY â Mayor Ryan Daniel invites the community to participate in the Mayorâs Ride Sunday.
Teresa Bodle, ABATE of Indiana region zero director, said the motorcyclists can sign in from 9 to 11 a.m. at the K-Mart South Plaza in Fort Wayne the day of the ride. Registration is $10 per person.
âMay is motorcycle safety month,â said Bodle. âEven though itâs June, itâs a nice thing for people to come out and see.â
The motorcycle event will have a police escort beginning in Fort Wayne and continuing through Churubusco and into Columbia Cityâs downtown square.
Results from the most recent www.thepostandmail.com online poll indicates trip to Fort Wayne cause apprehension for the vast majority of respondents.
