LOS ANGELESÂ â Churubusco native, Kayla Crance, isnât just gushing over âMcDreamy,â sheâs acting with him. Crance will appear on the upcoming season premiere of Greyâs Anatomy, an ABC prime-time medical drama, starring Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, also known as âMcDreamy.â
Since graduating in 2011 from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), sheâs been working in some background acting and was fortunate enough to appear as a featured background actor in the Sept. 27 episode of Greyâs Anatomy.
COLUMBIA CITY â The verdict is in on the Burnworth Pool, and a detailed assessment revealed it would take more than $1 million to make the repairs necessary to keep the facility operational.
City officials have planned meetings to discuss the issue.
âThe park board has decided to host two Community Forums to hear from the citizens of Columbia City,â said Parks Department Director Mark Green in a press release.
âMayor (Ryan) Daniel will be facilitating these forums that are scheduled to be held at the Peabody Library.â
COLUMBIA CITY â Ron King, a 74-year-old South Whitley resident and Cleveland Township Trustee appeared in Superior Court Monday for an initial hearing on charges of official misconduct and battery.
King was arrested Aug. 6 after a complaint was made to the South Whitley Police Department alleging he inappropriately touched three women who were requesting financial assistance, according to a press release from the ISP.
Kingâs office near South Whitley, is located at his residence at 4360 S. Whitley Rd., and the misconduct allegedly occurred on May 8 and between June 10 and 11.
COLUMBIA CITY â Beginning Oct. 16, the Peabody Public Library (PPL) is making a change that will open a new realm of possibilities for all its patrons.
PPL has signed up Evergreen Indiana (EI) and is going green. PPL cardholders will have access to millions of items in 100 library systems across the state of Indiana.
PPL was the 100th library to sign up for this system.
EI enables patrons of PPL to search the EI online catalog, place holds on books and audio books at any other Evergreen Library and have them sent to PPL for pickup.
