Col. City wins conference opener

Kendallville ­— The Columbia City Boys’ Basketball team traveled to Kendallville to open the Northeast Hoosier Conference season by taking on the East Noble Knights.

The Eagles put on a first half shooting clinic hitting 75 percent of their field goal attempts including eight shots from behind the three-point arc building a 17 point lead on their way to a 61-50 win.

The game started out as a battle behind the arc with Columbia City’s Mason Coverstone matched up against East Noble’s Brandon Nichols and Michael Sharp.
