Day in the Life inserted Thursday

July 24, 2013

A special publication will be inserted in Thursday’s Post & Mail depicting life in Whitley County.

In June, residents were asked to photograph what they did on the longest day of the year, June 21. From those photo submissions, The Post & Mail compiled the snapshots to create “Day in the Life,” a look at Whitley County through the lens of numerous shutterbugs.

Pictured above is T.C. McCoy returning an arm load of books to the Peabody Public Library. This particular photo was submitted by library staff and will be featured in the upcoming publication.

“This is something we’ve been doing for seven years,” said Pat Mossburg, ministries director for the county’s Salvation Army. “This year, I know we won’t be able to help all the children who need it because giving is so far down.”
