COLUMBIA CITY – Children playing at Morsches Park is not an uncommon occurrence on a summer Saturday morning. However, this Saturday, the park will serve two purposes – fun and function.

The Salvation Army of Whitley County has been collecting school supplies for Whitley County children in need. Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Morsches Park in Columbia City, school-aged children can receive supplies to help ease the financial burden parents face when preparing for school to start.
