Bryce G. Fitch, 83, a former resident of Huntertown, passed away at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at Life Care Center in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Fitch was born in Huntertown March 27, 1927, a son of Maurice Keith and Lois Marie (Byerley) Fitch.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Huntertown Cemetery with Rev. Greg Hiatt, pastor of Huntertown United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow.
Friends may call at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco after 9 a.m. Monday. The cortege will depart the funeral home for the cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
Rosalie Hartman, 70, of Sterling, Colo. passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 in Sterling. Born Aug. 23, 1940 in Pierceton, she was a daughter of Russell and Mary (Merideth) Barnhart.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Ginger Kay Work and a son, Clayton A. Hartman.
A memorial service was held Tuesday at Tennant Funeral Home in Sterling.

Carl Fred Montz, 89, of Fort Wayne died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital.
Born March 13, 1921 in Washington Township, he was a son of the late Floyd J. and Anna E. (Schneider) Montz.
He served in the Navy during World War II with his twin brother, the late Clark Montz, on board the Hermitage.
Survivors include his wife, Ina M. (Sheets) Montz.
According to Emergency Management Director Cathy Broxon-Ball, the Level 2 snow emergency that the county has been operating under since Thursday morning has been dropped.

COLUMBIA CITY — The snow emergency in Whitley County was upgraded to a level two at 8 a.m. this morning as residents continue to dig out from this week’s piling on of snow.
“Whitley County has upgraded to a level 2 snow emergency this morning,” said the Whitley County Board of Commissioners in a statement today.
“The public needs to be aware that roadways are slick, snow covered and that some have not been cleared as of this morning.
“County highway crews have been working since 5 a.m. to get at least one pass on all roadways and will be out all day working on the roads.
COLUMBIA CITY — The snow storm this week put everyone in Whitley County and across much of the country on high-alert.
There were some who couldn’t take shelter at home and wait out the blizzard in pajamas with a cup of hot cocoa.
“There were so many stranded motorists,” said Cathy Broxon-Ball of the Whitley County Emergency Management/Department of Homeland Security.
“I guess everybody figures that police and emergency vehicles can just get to them in a matter of minutes, but we had so many responders that were getting stuck that, well, that’s why we have these levels.”
Whitley County will drop from a Level 1 to a Level 2 snow emergency at 8 a.m. today.
