HOMETOWN SEARS: New location, same products

January 31, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s Sears Hometown store is moving this week.

The retail outlet is relocating from its previous location on Connexion Way to Plaza Drive, in the former Fashion Bug space in Town & Country Shopping Center.

Though the move is taking place this week, Sears will not be closed, as customers are able to visit the new store anytime.

The transition comes after the previous owner, Dave Meineke, left the business, Winter said. Winter said Sears is currently looking for an owner, and is in the beginning stages of finding one.
