NORTH MANCHESTER â Barney Martin Bumbaugh, 78, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 9:10 p.m. in his North Manchester home.
He was born April 19, 1933 in Warsaw to Girrard M. âJuddâ and Ethel F. (Deerwester) Bumbaugh.
On Nov. 13, 1954, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Jo McDonald.
Bumbaugh served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1957 as an electrician with the 91st Field Maintenance.
For the past seven years heâs lived in North Manchester.
He worked at Dana Corporation for 32 years as a tool grinder, retiring in 1995.
SOUTH WHITLEYâ JEAN L. STONER, 84, a resident of South Whitley died at 2:05 a.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011 in the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
She was born Jan. 27, 1927 in Whitley County, a daughter of George Harold and Velma M. Gale Kreider. She completed her education in the South Whitley High School.
Her first marriage was to Robert Karst and they spent their married life in Columbia City and South Whitley.
On Jan. 27, 1950, she was united in marriage to Wade Stoner and they spent their married life in the South Whitley community. Mr. Stoner died March 10, 2004.
KIMMELL â Larry Lieberenz, 66, of Kimmell, died at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Parkview Hospital.
Lieberenz was born to Joe and Gladis (Mower) Lieberenz July 4, 1944 in Fort Wayne.
He spent most of his formative years in Fort Wayne before moving to Cromwell and settled in the Wolf Lake area in 1978.
Lieberenz is survived by his daughter, Tina Lieberenz of Shipshewana; two sons, Larry Jr. and Ricky Lieberenz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

KENDALLVILLE â Gerald E. âGeneâ Birch, age 84 of Ligonier died at 7:35 a.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.
He was born to Charlie and Susie (Rarick) Birch in Wolf Lake. He married Violet âJuneâ Poff in 1963, who preceded him in death in 2005. He later married Jean Parks in 2008, she survives.
Birch served in the U.S. Army during WW II and retired from Monsanto in Ligonier after more than 26 years of service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #836 in Goshen.
COLUMBIA CITY â Paul E. Wysong, 85, formerly of rural Noble County died at 12:10 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at Harbour Assisted Living, Fort Wayne where he had been a resident for the last four years.
He was born June 27, 1925 at Luckey Hospital, Wolf Lake, the son of the late Robert E. and Ruth (Gandy) Wysong. He spent his formative years in the Wolf Lake area and graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1943.
COLUMBIA CITY â Betty Marjorie (Method) Baughman, 84, of Columbia City, passed away at 2:54 a.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
Born June 2, 1927 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Ralph Leo and Katherine Candice (Coyle) Pratt.
She graduated with the Class of 1945 from Columbia City High School.
A former resident of Euclid, Ohio, Albion and Muncie Lake, she lived in Whitley County the majority of her lifetime.
FORT WAYNE â Arthur R. Lamle, 95, a resident of rural Fort Wayne and long-time Eel River Township farmer, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 1:05 a. m. at the Hamilton House in Fort Wayne where he had been residing for the past year due to declining health.
Mr. Lamle was born Feb. 8, 1916 in Eel River Township, a son of Robert and Caroline (Felger) Lamle.
He spent his formative years on the family farm there, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1933.
A lifelong resident of Eel River Township, he was engaged in farming in Allen County all of his life, retiring in 1993.
COLUMBIA CITY â Pauline S. McKinney, 85, of Columbia City, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
She was born Sept. 1, 1925 in Hinton, W. Va. to Winifred and Roxie Jane (Cox) Farley.
Surviving are son, Dennis E. (Cheryl) Smith, grandchildren, Tricia, Lynn, Dennis E., Bryan, and Trudy; 10 great grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Also surviving is a sister, Lula Staples.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Horace Smith, second husband, Paul M. McKinney, two sisters and four brothers.
Dorothy Jean Sellers, 91, of Topeka, formerly of Goshen, died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Courtyard Healthcare in Goshen.
She was born in Topeka Aug. 9, 1919 to Ben and Hazel (Hochstetter) Leming.
She is survived by three children, Roger and Doug Sellers, both of Goshen, Linda Foster of Motteville, Mich. and three grandchildren.
She was preceded by one son, Allen Sellers, her parents, and one brother, Ben Leming.
Burial will be at Eden Cemetery in Topeka. No public visitation or services are planned. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Alzheimerâs Association.
ALBION â Wayne Massey, 59, of Bear Lake near Albion, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at his residence. He was born Dec. 3, 1951 to Leon Lewis and Mary Ellen (Dunlap) Massey in Kokomo.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1971-73 during Vietnam.
He is survived by three sons, Jason Massey of Fort Wayne, Matthew Massey of Ligonier and Michael Massey of Greenwood; his mother, Mary Ellen Massey of Kokomo; one brother, Roger Massey of Rouchville; one sister, Debbie Denny of Kokomo and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday at Marion National Cemetery at 1 p.m.
