Marines the focus of 2012 Veterans Marathon

COLUMBIA CITY — In honor of the servicemen and servicewomen who have served our nation, Columbia City will be hosting its third annual Veterans Marathon Saturday, Nov. 12.
This year, special honors will be directed to the United States Marine Corps.

Corporation reports pupil enrollment up by 10 students

COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County Consolidated Schools reported on WCCS attendance at its work session Monday.
Officially, including kindergarteners who attend half days, the school district has 3,393.5 students.

Community Foundation seeks grant reguests

COLUMBIA CITY – The Whitley County Community Foundation’s grant review session is approaching, according to foundation officials.
The Community Foundation funds charitable projects that will make a positive impact on Whitley County and its people. The foundation is particularly interested in ideas that shed new light on local needs and provide innovative, long-term solutions.

Mayoral hopefuls in public forum
