County attorney brokering EMS deal

COLUMBIA CITY — County Attorney Dan Sigler has been tasked with sifting through the heated debate and unanswered questions regarding the county’s emergency medical service in order to help broker an agreement between the county and Parkview Whitley Hospital.
It is a job, he says, that is challenging to say the least.

Breast-feeding week bolsters information about nature's perfect food

COLUMBIA CITY — This is World Breast-feeding Week – and several Whitley County moms and their families celebrated.
The event was at the Whitley County Women, Infant Children (WIC) office in Columbia City Wednesday. Nine mothers, three fathers and 11 children attended the celebration hosted by Danielle Henderson, breast feeding peer counselor at WIC.
