COLUMBIA CITY — In the last 57 years, the Mizpah Shrine Charity Horse Show has grown from a one evening show into a weekend-long charity event benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children that has raised $1.5 million since the horse show’s inception.

SOUTH WHITLEY – Currently, Columbia City enjoys a golf cart ordinance that allows for golf cart travel on all city streets with the exception of highways and major throughways (or through highways).
Following the city’s lead, the Whitley County Board of Commissioners approved and adopted a county ordinance extending the allowable area for which golf carts could travel.

COLUMBIA CITY – Mary Raber Elementary and Preschool celebrated its successes at Monday’s Whitley County Consolidated Schools School Board meeting. School representatives honored the people of Mary Raber’s learning community and credited the teamwork between the staff members, students and parents for their success.

CHURUBUSCO — A lot of people attended the inaugural Football Sunday at Churubusco High School.
Sunday in the fall is always Football Sunday, but in Churubusco it truly was.

It’s been Helen Foster’s dream to have a band reunion for a long time. Her dream came true on Friday night.
Foster, Columbia City High School’s band director, has had the goal of having marching band alumni reunite with current members of the Columbia City High School band for awhile.
