COLUMBIA CITY — With the matter in discussion since March 2010, the Whitley County Plan Commission finally began revising it’s zoning ordinance to add regulations for wind energy conversion systems (WESC).
The commission met Wednesday for a rescheduled session to review and offer proposed amendments to a draft which, if approved, will put standards in place should a wind company seek the opportunity to make an economic investment in Whitley County.
“We certainly have not come to a precise conclusion up to this point,” said Planning and Building Department Executive Director Dave Sewel.
