COLUMBIA CITY — More than 1,000 people poured through Indian Middle Springs Saturday at the Whitley County Chamber of Commerce Business EXPOsed to see what area businesses have to offer.
The EXPO was held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the event hosted a long list of vendors and entertainment.
Carrie Hoffman, board member for the chamber, said there were more than 50 booths at this year’s EXPO, most of them from Whitley County, but others from Allen County.
“It’s one stop shopping,” said Hoffman. “It’s hard to go door to door, but here you can go from table to table.”
COLUMBIA CITY — If there was an emergency during the Whitley County 4-H Fair, how would word get around?
That was the question on each board member’s mind as they listened to Frank Rhoades, a veteran 4-H director in Kosciusko County. After walking the Whitley County 4-H Fairgrounds with several board members, Rhoades has come up with an idea on how this county can be safer during the fair.
