Whitley County Farmer’s Market starts Saturday
The Whitley County Farmer’s Market will start Saturday and end Oct. 13.
Meeting time will be every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at TSC.
The event will be located at the Courthouse Lawn on Saturdays and Tractor Supply on Wednesdays
The Farmer’s Market will provide an assortment of fresh produce, lush plants for your garden and home items.
All items can be found each week.
It will be a bustling place filled with music and friends.
Car show and benefit Saturday
SOUTH WHITLEY — Finally, South Whitley is showing signs of spring.
This means it is time for Spring Clean-Up Day slated for Saturday.
“Items must be curbside no later than 6 a.m. on (Saturday),” Clerk-Treasurer Bob Gould said.
According to Gould, there will be fees for larger items such as electronics, appliances, tires and batteries.
After spending two weeks in Belgium, Shriner Lake resident Gail Morris, returned home, bringing with her more information about her family as well as fond memories about the trip.
“It was a trip that I don’t know if you could repeat, and what I liked most about it was family,” said Morris. “I’ve traveled all over the world as a tourist, but when you can travel and be with family, it’s just so special.”
COLUMBIA CITY – It's summertime weather and motorists are traveling – and, you guessed it, gas prices spiked to $4 in Whitley County late Wednesday and overnight.
An exception was Valero in Columbia City, which was still pumping regular at $3.75 early Thursday.
Several stations in northwest Indiana are selling a gallon of unleaded well above $4. The highest is $4.29 in Highland and Merrillville.
The lowest unleaded gas in Indiana is $3.58 in Crawfordsville.
