CRUSHED — R.V. flattened; man airlifted

A mangled up pile of rubble was all that was left after an RV flipped off the road near Collamer Monday night.

The Winnebago, that was driven by a local man, according to police, rolled on its top, nearly crushing the driver, on River Road near CR 950 W.

The driver was pinned with thousands of pounds of rubble above him. A tow truck was expedited and the man was extricated within minutes According to witnesses, the driver was speaking after the accident, though occasionally lost consciousness. He was airlifted to Fort Wayne.
