Wellness center to reach out to kids

WHITLEY COUNTY — An initiative to bring healthy options to Whitley County is now making inroads to teach children the power of good foods.

Whole Health Wellness Center, a nonprofit community garden and resource for healthy living, has partnered with several elementary schools to deliver fresh ideas and fruits to area children.

Recently, the center joined with Coesee Elementary School to bring gardening into the classroom.

The Columbia City High School Science Olympiad team recently completed its season by competing at regionals, held at Goshen College. The team competed in 23 events covering all branches of science.
