Choctaw is pronounced, chata. We have a prominent Choctaw Indian tribe who live on the Choctaw Indian Reservation near Philadelphia.
Mashulaville, Mississippi is between Macon, and Philadelphia. If you went to Macon, which is closer to Starkville, you would go West and then turn South.

The Choctaw Indian tribe is a member of a Muskogean people originally inhabiting Mississippi and Alabama.
A visit to The Little Dooey is more than a place to get great barbecue, it is an event.
And the state of Mississippi would agree. The Little Dooey in Starkville was listed in third place for Best Barbeque in the recent Best of Mississippi readership poll, in the July/August issue of Mississippi Magazine. The Little Dooey is one of seven Starkville restaurants receiving placement in the poll.
âWe would like to say thank you to our loyal customers and dedicated staff for making us THE Best barbeque place in Mississippi,â said Lauren Carmichael of The Little Dooey.

More than 13,000 students and alums voted in a poll, and one of these five will become the new Ole Miss Rebel mascot.
Fellowship Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, 7 miles north of Eupora, is where I am serving as the interim pastor. Celebrating our 175th anniversary, the church asked me to write some of its history.

Each pigweed plant produces between 10,000 and 35,000 seed. Fifty percent of the seed can still germinate after three years and it takes more than twenty years for the last few seeds to lose their ability to grow a new plant. Isn't it easier to kill one plant now? One swipe with a hoe now can prevent ten thousand later.
