Gerald “Jay” R. Imbody, 49, of Payne, Ohio passed away at 2:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 at the home of his mother. Born May 7, 1961 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Gerald and Gloria (Juillerat) Imbody.
Jeanice C. Graves, 84, of rural Columbia City, died at 12:44 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at the Hospice Home, Fort Wayne where she was admitted July 28.
She was born Aug. 22, 1926 in Columbia City, a daughter of Joe and Freeda I. (Decker) Sharpe. She graduated from Columbia City High School and Ravenscroft Beauty College.
On June 4, 1946 she was united in marriage to Norman William Graves. They made their home in Columbia City, Syracuse and later Roanoke for 20 years before moving to their home south of Columbia City in 1986.
John T. Cowen, 83, a resident of Columbia City, died at 2:48 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Sept. 18, 1926 in Fort Wayne, a son of Theodore Cowen and Ilene Snyder. His formative years were spent in Columbia City where he was raised by foster parents, Purl and Wilma Schoeff. After graduating from Columbia City High School, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and served during W. W. II.
