Tracey Headrick, 44

Tracey Anne Headrick, 44, Kokomo, was called home to Heaven Oct. 1, 2011 from the Emergency Room at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 10, 1967 in Ft. Wayne, the daughter of Billy R.”Bill” and Patricia L. (Busche) Shanks.
On June 10, 1995 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Ft. Wayne, she married Ralph E. Headrick who survives.
She was a 1985 graduate of Columbia City Joint High School, Columbia City and attended William Penn University, Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Vivian Sikma, 96

Vivian Sikma, formerly of Columbia City, passed away Sept. 28, 2011 at Brighton Gardens, Port St. Lucie, Fla.
She was born Jan. 18, 1915, in Union Township, to George and Nora (Campbell) Miller.
She graduated from Washington Township High School in 1932.
On April 6, 1934 she married Robert Hendrickson and they made their home in Columbia City. He passed away July 7, 1968.
She married William Sikma Oct. 20, 1973 and they lived in Columbia City until 1999 when they moved to Stuart, Fla. Mr. Silma preceded her in death Oct. 2007.

Dale Grigsby, 91

COLUMBIA CITY — Dale A. Grigsby, 91, of Columbia City, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at his home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1919 in Allegan, Mich., a son of Gerald and Norma (Emmons) Grigsby.
He graduated from Otsego High School in Michigan and received his bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne.
In 1941, he began his employment at General Electric. He retired in 1985 as a Transformer Process Specialist.

Shelly Cramer, 58

Shelly L. Cramer, 58, of Columbia City, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at 11:35 p.m. at Parkview Oaks, Columbia City.
Born June 10, 1953 in Wolf Lake, she was the daughter of Teddy R. Hare and DeVona J. Myers-Berg.
She attended Columbia City High School.
A lifetime Whitley County resident, she worked as a waitress for Jimmie’s Pizza and Pizza Hut, Columbia City.
She also worked as a dispatcher for the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department for 12 years prior to working as a department manager for more than six years at Wal-Mart, Columbia City.

Christopher Hook, 45

Christopher Lee Hook, 45, of Churubusco, passed away at 6:44 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at his home.
Born April 29, 1966 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Thomas Albert and Barbara (Fuller) Hook.
He graduated with the Class of 1985 from Carroll High School.
A former resident of Columbia City and Fort Wayne, he worked for Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne in the Dietary Department and as a custodian.
He was employed at BRC and Dana-PTG, Columbia City, as a laborer, and at U.S. 30 & 69 Rest Area through Passages as a custodian.
