SOUTH WHITLEY â€” R. Duane Loe, 44, of South Whitley, passed away quietly at his home surrounded by his family at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011. He had been fighting cancer.
He was born June 12, 1967, in Columbia City, a son of Raymond Duane Loe, Sr. and Linda (Snyder) Loe.
His formative years were spent in South Whitley. He graduated from Whitko High School.
Following his graduation, he went to work for the South Whitley Electric Department for seven years. He also became a member of the Cleveland Twp. Volunteer Fire Department.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” Dixie Clingerman â€śSisâ€ť Nei, 71, passed away at 8:12 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis surrounded in love with her daughters and grandchildren.
She had become suddenly ill at her home on Wednesday.
She was born July 27, 1940, in Columbia City, the daughter of William F. and Irene (Heintzelman) Clingerman.
She spent her childhood in the Ormas area and graduated from North Webster High School with the class of 1958.
However, most of her adult life was spent at TriLakes, except from 1980 to 1990 when she resided in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
Kim David Jenkins, 57, of Columbia City, passed away at 8:13 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Born Oct. 29, 1954, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Cyrus Jack and Wanda Marie (Foulk) Jenkins.
He spent his childhood in Fort Wayne where he graduated from Heritage High School with the Class of 1972 and furthered his education by receiving an Associate Degree at Ivy Tech College.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1975 and attained the rank of specialist.
In 1978, he moved to Coesse and completed his military service as a reservist in 1981.
Paul C. Radke, 70 of Somerset Township in Jerome, Mich., passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at his home.
He was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Detroit to Peter P. and Eloise C. (DeWitt) Radke.
Paul lived his early life in Indiana and then in southern Michigan.
He moved to the Jerome area 14 years ago. He graduated from Columbia City High School in 1960.
He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” Karen Lee Haskin, 57, a resident of Columbia City, died at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 in the Parkview Whitley Hospital.
She was born Feb. 28, 1954, in Columbia City, a daughter of Derald and Janyce DeWitt Coomer.
On May 12, 1976, she was united in marriage to Harry H. Haskin.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Harry; two sons, David Haskin and Jason Haskin both of Columbia City; and a grandson, Devin Haskin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kristi and Sherre.
