Martha Jean (Ramp) Blessing, 81, died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Golden Living Center Brandywine in Greenfield.
Born Feb. 22, 1930 in Columbia City, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Eva R. (Johnson) Ramp.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet Shanahan, Pam Galen and Julie Cain; a sister, Nancy Stamper; and two brothers, Richard Ramp and Bill Ramp.
Graveside services were held May 4 at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson, Ind.
Rosetta B. Mercer, 90, a resident of Fort Wayne and widow of Rex P. Mercer, died at 9:34 a.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
She was born in Hartford City Nov. 4, 1920, a daughter of William B. F. and Isabell (Emery) Boothby.
The surviving relatives include her daughters, Rosalie Adams, Ruth Mercer and Rita White; a daughter-in-law, Joan Mercer of Big Lake; two special daughters, Marilyn Nickelson of Fort Wayne and Priscilla Scott of Marion.
Lowell A. Schaefer, 55, a native of Fort Wayne and formerly of Boulder, Colo., passed away at 9:20 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Regency Place in Fort Wayne.
He was born in Fort Wayne May 10, 1955, a son of Marvin F. and Mildred (Gerbers) Schaefer.
The surviving relatives include a son Evan Michael Schaefer of Boulder; his siblings, Linda Schaefer, Leroy Schaefer, Larry Schaefer, Leona Schaefer and Loren Schaefer.
Betty A. Faylor, 89, of Columbia City, died at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester where she had been a resident since April 2010.
She was born Nov. 2, 1921 in Aboite Township, Allen County a daughter of Carl L. and Hazel M. (Truman) Klaehn. She completed her education at Central High School in Fort Wayne.
