Gayle E. Schinbeckler, 92, of Columbia City, passed away at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at her home.
Born Nov. 12, 1920, in Hope, Kan., she was the daughter of Gustave H. and Sarah E. (Longbine) Brumbaugh.
At age 14, while in the seventh grade, she and her family moved from Kansas to Whitley County.
She graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1938.
On Dec. 24, 1939, she married Marshall C. Schinbeckler at First Church of God, Columbia City.
