COLUMBIA CITY — Gertrude A. Brock, 100, of Columbia City and formerly of South Whitley, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Parkview Oaks.
She was born Jan. 18, 1912, in South Bend, a daughter of Lee O. and Florence (Carbiener) Walters. She graduated from Central High School in South Bend.
On March 4, 1933, she married Loyal B. Riley.
In 1936 they moved to South Whitley from Nappanee. Mr. Riley died in 1951.
On Jan. 27, 1957, she married Orda Hare. They always made their home in South Whitley. Mr. Hare died in 1974.
