William Wayne “Bill” May, 92, owner of Spring Creek Market, died at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1921, in Monroe County, a son of Ernest and Rose (Smiley) May.  
Bill served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in southern Indiana during the late 1930s and early 1940s.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1942, and served in Australia, New Guinea and the Philippines. He was honorably discharged from active service in 1945, and went to work for Phelps Dodge Corporation in Fort Wayne.

Agustin “Gus” Fuentes, 49, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013.
Born in Hicksville, OH, Agustin worked as a painter and was a member of The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
He was a loving father and grandfather. Surviving relatives include his wife, Regina Villanueva of Columbia City; children, Krystal Fuentes of Ohio, Juan Villanueva, Angela Villanueva, Lupe Villanueva, Juana Calan, Kristy Villanueva and Victor Villanueva all of Fort Wayne; siblings, Hope, Anna, Linda, Corinna, Victor, David, Raul Jr.; father, Raul Sr. and 20 grandchildren.
