Carol Goble

On Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at 5:27 a.m., Carol Phyllis Goble, of Columbia City, began her heavenly journey — embraced in love and nestled warmly within the cherished home she built with her devoted husband of more than 60 years, Jack Earl Goble.
Born on Feb. 14, 1934, she was the only child of Ralph Eugene Watson and Dorothy Berniece (Keisler) Watson, also of Columbia City.
Carol was the apple of her father’s eye and her mother’s little princess. Raised on a bucolic 40-acre farm in Troy Township, she grew up loving nature and animals and, especially, kitties.

James Wymer, 60

James Leon Wymer, 60, fell ill during a family vacation in Petoskey, Mich. He died four days later on Dec. 5, 2013, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital, Petoskey, Mich. surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 24, 1953, in York, Pa., a son of William C. Hayes and Roseann Dinges.
He spent his formative years in York, Pa. Later the family moved to Bedford, where he graduated from Oolitic High School in 1971.
On July 11, 1981, he was united in marriage to Carol S. Voyles. They made their home in Columbia City.

Wanda Deininger, 91

Wanda I. Deininger, 91, a Cleveland Township native, died at 5:47 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Rita.
She was born January 13, 1922, in Cleveland Township, a daughter of Harry A. and Pauline (Reckard) Lepley.
At the age of four, her family moved to Larwill. She graduated in 1940 from Larwill High School. She moved to Fort Wayne and graduated from the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in 1947.
On Sept. 13, 1947, she was united in marriage to Paul J. Deininger. They always made their home in Fort Wayne. Mr. Deininger died Jan. 20, 2013.

Zachariah Ballard, 28

Zachariah Joseph Ballard, 28, of Columbia City, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident at 11:01 p.m. in rural Whitley County.
Born Aug. 23, 1985, in Fort Wayne, to Mart Eugene and Sally Jo (Prough) Ballard.
He was a lifetime resident of Columbia City, graduating from Columbia City High School with the Class of 2004.

Larry Ware, 50

Larry E. Ware, 50, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born April 25, 1963, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Charles R. Ware and Margaret Roeger.
Survivors include his father, Charles (Leota) Ware of Fort Wayne; daughters, Elizabeth (Scotty) Kessler of Columbia City and Samantha Geschwind of Fort Wayne; sisters, Carol Flinn of Fort Wayne and Kathi Young of Fort Wayne; brother, Dan Ware; grandchildren, Dixie Kessler, Chloe Oberley, Lenabella Papenbrock and Corey Papenbrock.
