Bonnie Elaine Knetter, 74, of South Whitley, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, at her home. Born Aug. 31, 1938, in Wolf Lake, she was the daughter of Lee Arthur and Ethel Pearl (Weeks) Brown.
She lived most of her lifetime in Whitley County, graduating from Columbia City High School. She worked at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Parkview Oaks and retired from Oak Pointe as a QMA. She was a former member of B.T. Roberts Free Methodist Church.
Benjamin C. â€śBenâ€ť Tackitt, 77, of Huntington, died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, at The Heritage of Huntington.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with one-hour visitation prior to service at Bailey-Love Mortuary, with Rev. Matt Gapinski officiating. The burial will be held in South Whitley Cemetery.
Norman D. Doud , 84, of Columbia City, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at his home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Hubert and Nora (Goings) Doud. He retired in 1990 from Boilermakers 374 after 33 years.
Terry L. Pritchard, 64, of Columbia City, died at 2:40 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at his home after a two-week-long battle with cancer.
He was born April 12, 1949, in Wolf Lake, the only child of Harry R. and Betty I. (Thompson) Pritchard.
His formative years were spent in Richland Township. He graduated from Larwill High School.
He was employed at Weatherhead, North American Van Lines for more than 24 years and Auto Zone.
His memberships included Sons of the American Legion, Eagles #1906 and ABATE of Indiana.
Elbert Verlin â€śRichâ€ť Richard, 92, passed into his Heavenly rest Monday, April 8, 2013, at his home in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born May 12, 1920, on a farm in Cleveland Township, the second son of Robert Douglas and Rose Ellen (Trout) Richard. He graduated from Columbia City High School in 1938.
Rich married his high school sweetheart, Anna Marie Walter in 1940. Together they have a son, Marc, and a daughter, Rozanne.
Frank M. Rice, 82, of Upland, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Marion General Hospital in Marion.
He was the son of the late Elijah Rice and the late Georgia (Jones) Rice. He was born in Jonesboro, Oct. 26, 1930. He attended Jonesboro High School. Frank was an inspector for Indiana Gas Company for 40 years retiring in 1991. Frank and Pauline McRoberts were married Dec. 26, 1999. Pauline survives in Upland. Frank loved horses and enjoyed shows and racing.
Robert Wayne Stevens, 48, of Columbia City, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1965, in Galesburg, Ill., a son of Jack L. and Carole Anne (Pittman) Stevens. His formative years were spent in Elmore. He graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1983. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard in Illinois and South Bend.
A bass guitar player for several bands, he also worked for Godfrey Marine in Syracuse for more than 17 years.
Clifford L. Stockamp, 49, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his children, Brant and Sophia; parents, Laurel and Tom; sister, Cassie and her children, Sydney and Audrey; brother, Kurt (Tommi) and his children, Megan and Chandler, and his brother, Christopher.
Cliff was a mortgage broker for Royal United, a life coach with Total Success Institute, athletic competitor, passionate father, and an amazing poet.
His poetry website is called Project Inspire the World, which has more than 33, 000 subscribers.
Eric Todd Woodham, 52, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away unexpectedly in his sleep Saturday, March 30, 2012.Â He was born July 20, 1960, in Columbia City, to Dr. Gregory and Ruth Ann (Staley) Woodham.
He is survived by both parents, former long-time residents of Indianapolis who currently reside in Sanibel, Fla., and two sisters, Kathryn (Woodham) Theobald of Fort Mitchell, Ky. and Audrey Woodham Raycroft of Sherborn, Mass.
Eric lived the majority of his years in Indianapolis.Â
Robert Jay Baker, 89, of Roanoke, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. Born July 7, 1923 in Huntington, Bob was the son of Ira J. and Gertrude J. (Shaefer) Baker.
