A memorial service to remember our dad, brother and friend John Gamble will be held Sunday, Sept. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Super 8 Hotel, formerly Executive Inn, located at 235 Frontage Rd., Columbia City.
Mr. Gamble, 65, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of Churubusco, passed away at his home Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013.
He served in U.S. Marine Corps.

Lois Sheets, 71

Lois A. Sheets, 71, of Columbia City, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at Peabody Home, North Manchester, where she had been a resident since October 2012.
She was born April 11, 1942, in Sullivan County, a daughter of Cisco R. and Jeanette I. (White) May.
Her formative years were spent in Sullivan County. She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1960.
On June 10, 1961, she was united in marriage to Paul V. Sheets. They made their home in Larwill for a short time before moving to Columbia City. Mr. Sheets died Sept. 26, 2011.

Minnie Farris, 92

Minnie Alice Farris, 92, of Fort Wayne, died at 6:34 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home where she was admitted last Friday.
She was born Oct. 17, 1920, in Harveysburg, Ohio, a daughter of Adam B. and Maude (Haines) Campbell. Her formative years were spent in Harveysburg.
On April 9, 1942, she was united in marriage to Raymon D. Farris. During Raymon’s enlistment in the U.S. Army Air Corps they lived in Kentucky, California, New Mexico, New Jersey, Wisconsin and Utah.

Donald Crawford, 80

Donald E. Crawford, 80, of Larwill, passed away at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born Feb. 27, 1933, in Boone County, he was the son of Charles R. Crawford and Ruby F. (Kinkade) Crawford.
On June 16, 1970, he married Carolyn J. Darr in Lebanon. He was a custodian at Whitko Community Schools, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing.
