Alvena Dolby, 96

Alvena Maxine Dolby, 96, of Columbia City, passed away at 9:37 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Parkview Oaks, Columbia City. Born Feb. 2, 1917, in Ossian, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Nellie (Confer) Middaugh.
She moved from Ossian as a child to live in Brooksville, Ohio. She graduated from Brooksville High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Huntington College.
On Aug. 12, 1940, she married Phillip Raymond Dolby in Huntington. Following their marriage, they moved to Stark County and in 1957 moved to Columbia City.

Timothy LaRue, stillborn infant of Seth and Melissa LaRue was called home into the arms of Jesus Sept. 17, 2013.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by siblings, Lucy, Jude and Bela LaRue; his grandparents, Cammie LaRue, Donald LaRue, John and Lisa Hatcher, and Steve Hart; and his great-grandparents, Gordon and Eva Gilbert, and Wilbert and Martha Bok.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Johanna LaRue and an uncle, Nathan LaRue.
There will be no public services.
