Dennis W. Sutton, 61, of Claypool, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born July 15, 1952, in Bluffton, a son of Richard F. and Alice Rose (Shady) Sutton. His formative years were spent in South Whitley, graduating from South Whitley High School.
He was employed at Dayco, Wolf Cage & Supply for 19 years, Whitley Feeds in South Whitley for 11 years and lastly at Advanced Auto Parts.
A member of Noble County Rabbit Fanciers where he served as president, he was also a member of Indiana Bass Masters.

Jeana R. Pontzius, 46, of Larwill, passed away at 1:43 pm Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born March 29, 1968 in Springfield, Ill., she was the daughter of Gary Louis and Margaret Rose (Campbell) Cox.
Jeana was an area resident for most of her life and grew up at Lower Long Lake in Albion, before moving to Columbia City and most recently to Larwill.
She attended Central Noble Schools. On June 22, 2012, she married John Pontzius in Columbia City.

Virginia M. Freeman, 64, of Columbia City, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born March 29, 1950 in Noble County, she was the daughter of Hobart E. and Helen V. Yoder. She graduated from West Noble High School with the Class of 1968.
May 29, 1971 she married Maurice D. Freeman in Avilla. A few years later, the two moved to Whitley County. She and Morry had owned and operated Freeman Janitorial. She is a member of First Church of God.
Beverley Jean Oliver, 86, of Columbia City, passed away peacefully May 24, 2014.
The elder daughter of Ray F. and Hazel (Smith) Hutton, Beverley was born July 31, 1927 in the old Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Her formative years were spent in Whitley County, living in the country on farms and later in Columbia City. She was educated in the Columbia City Schools and Columbia City High School.

R. Choleene Leinker, 86, of Columbia City, passed away at 6:10 a.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Columbia City.
Born Oct. 26, 1927, in South Whitley, she was the daughter of Harold and Marjory M. (Ramsey) Warner.
She lived in South Whitley until 1941 then moved to Fort Wayne for 10 years, where she attended North Side High School, before moving to St. Petersburg, Fla.
She then moved to North Webster, where she lived until 2000 finally settling at her present home in Columbia City.
Norma Jean Keppler, 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at Golden Years Homestead Nursing Home.
Born May 28, 1941, in Whitley County, she was the daughter of Isaac Franklin â€śFrankâ€ť and Clara Elizabeth (Murphy) Overholser.
Norma will be lovingly remembered by her family.
Evelyn Magley Coleman Duffield, 92, of Kingsport passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Asbury Place.

Sharon Louise Beard, 76, of Bella Vista, Ark. since Sept. 1997, died Oct. 3, 2013.
She was born March 21, 1937, in Columbia City, a daughter of Forrest W. and Jean (Staley) Zumbrun. She graduated from Jefferson Center High School.
On Aug. 21, 1955, she was united in marriage to Donald R. Beard in Jefferson Township. Mr. Beard preceded her in death in 1992.

Margaret E. (Hiss) Thompson, 63, of Kissimmee, (formerly of Elkhart), passed away, May 19, 2014, with her husband â€śboyfriend,â€ť of 41, years lovingly at her side.
She was born June 9, 1950, in Garrett, to Robert and Anna (Felke) Hiss and married Richard Thompson June 1, 1973.
Together they built and nurtured a blended family with sons Rick (Glenda) Thompson, Kerry (Dawn) Thompson, Kristopher (Laurie) Thompson, Mark (Jacqui) Pedley, and son-in-law Bob Storlie. Their daughters include Tina Thompson, Kristie (Maurice) Conley, and Kelli Storlie.

Kaylin Renee Pratt, 18, of South Whitley, passed away at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving and caring family.
Born Oct. 13, 1995, in Gary, she was the daughter of Donald Mark Pratt and Michelle J. (Blewett) Pratt, who survive her.
She has spent most of her life in South Whitley and attended Pierceton Elementary School. Kaylin was a member of Turning Point Church in South Whitley.
