Rosalie A. Hilsmier, 76, of Columbia City, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at Grace Village Health Care in Winona Lake.
Born Aug. 16, 1938 in Payne, OH., she was the daughter of Harry and Maxine (Lee) McPherson.
She graduated from Payne High School with the Class of 1956. She worked at Magnavox and Raytheon in Fort Wayne and Columbia City.

Sharon E. Stephens, 55, of Columbia City, passed away at 1:42 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born July 27, 1959 in Alexandria, La., she was the daughter of Ralph and LaVonne (Hobbs) Galway.
Sharon attended and graduated from Colorado Springs High School with the Class of 1978. Following that, she received extensive training from Bob Evans in restaurant management. She was most recently the restaurant manager of Northside Grill in Columbia City.

Douglas J. Harding, 46, of rural Edon, Ohio, died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, in his home.
Mr. Harding was a graduate of South Side High School in Fort Wayne, and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Texas as an Avionics Technician for F-4 fighter jets.
He was employed by Glenbrook Dodge and Don Ayres Honda in Fort Wayne for many years in auto finance and sales and was also a former co-owner of Ritaâ€™s Restaurant in Edgerton, OH.

Mary B. Pepple, 71, a resident of Union Township, died at 11:03 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 in the Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Jan. 13, 1943 in Berne, a daughter of Raymond Henry and Donna V. Weaver Snyder.
Her formative years were spent in Decatur, where she completed her formal education.
On Jan. 13, 1961, she was united in marriage to Gene Pepple and they spent most of their married life in the Columbia City community.

Hallie Kay Girton, 59, of Columbia City, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
Born Aug. 20, 1955 in Batesville, she was the daughter of Buford and Bobbie Jean (Sizemore) Moore.
She lived most of her life in Fort Wayne until 2005 and then moved to Columbia City. Her first job was at the A&W Root Beer Stand on Goshen Road in the early 1970s and then worked for over 10 years at Cintas Uniforms.
She loved camping, playing bingo and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

John Eric Weigold, 64, of Canyon Lake, TX, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born Jan. 10, 1950, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Herbert and D. Joan (Best) Weigold.
John attended and graduated with the last Wolf Lake High School graduating Class of 1968. He attended Ball State University.

Joseph â€śJoeâ€ť Rivas, 56, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at his home in Fort Wayne.
Joe was born Sept. 25, 1958 in Chippewa Falls, Wis. Joe served his country in the Navy from 1977 thru 1981 and again from 1985 thru 1989.

Douglas W. Vorndran, 74, of Columbia City, died at 11:36 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 at Parkview Whitley Hospital where he was admitted Saturday.
He was born Nov. 13, 1939 in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Clement and Uva (Vansickle) Vorndran.
His formative years were spent in Fort Wayne. Later the family moved to Anderson where he graduated from Anderson High School.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. The majority of his work career was as a press operator at Parrot Press in Fort Wayne.

Walter R. Mills, 81, a resident of rural Columbia City at Tri-Lakes, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, 2014 at the family residence on Shriner Lake.
Mr. Mills was born in 1933 in Detroit, a son of Harold and Mary (Falba) Mills. He moved to Fort Wayne as a child with his parents, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
In 1954, he was married to Betty Truelove in Fort Wayne and lived there until moving to his lake home in 1996.
He was employed at International Harvester in Fort Wayne for 33 years, retiring as a tool research engineer in 1983.

Emogene H. â€śJeanâ€ť Leasure, 95, North Manchester, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, in Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester.
She was born June 1, 1919, in Kosciusko County, to Emory and Mary (Warner) Hossler.
She graduated from Pierceton High School (Pierceton) in 1937, and from Manchester College where she received a BS degree in education. She received her masterâ€™s degree in guidance and counseling from Purdue University in 1964.
