Sharon Jean Baysinger, 69, died July 10, 2012. She was born May 17, 1943, to the late Carl Sheets and Virginia Firks.
Sharon is now safely home. Surviving relatives include seven sons Larry Tindall, Joe, Jeff, Greg, John, Jamie and Chris Baysinger; one daughter, Cindy; a sister, Patty Middaugh whome she loved dearly.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Sandy Nerzig and Donna Morgan.
Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services will be handling arrangements. Memorials maybe made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
Rolland B. Gipson, 75, of Ossian, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at his daughterâ€™s home in Ossian where he had been living since October, 2011.
He was born July 7, 1937, in Litchfield, Ill., a son of Carl R. and Gladys (Kettlekamp) Gipson. His formative years were spent in Whitley County. He graduated from Columbia City High School.
On Aug. 12, 1966, he married Patricia Collinsworth. They have always made their home in Whitley County.
He was employed 25 years at American Hoist and Derrick in Fort Wayne and retired from No Sag in Kendallville in 1999 with 15 years of service.
Elizabeth June Earnhart, 95, of South Whitley died at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Parkview Whitley Hospital where she was admitted Saturday. She had been a resident at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester since November, 2011.
She was born Oct. 15, 1916, in Noble County, a daughter of J. Stanley and Mabel (Koher) Himes.
At age eight, the family moved to South Whitley where she attended school. She graduated from South Whitley High School in 1934.
Martha Louise Ostler, 93, of Frankfort, died at 10:10 p.m. July 9, 2012, at Wesley Manor Health and Retirement Center.
Born at home north of Frankfort on Union Road, April 19, 1919, she was the daughter of Herman and Lena Beatrice (Culbertson) Johnson.
She married Aaron Jesse Ostler on Aug. 1, 1940, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1996.
Douglas H. Trotter, 65, a resident of Fort Wayne, died at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at North Ridge Village Nursing Home in Albion following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Trotter was born Dec. 26, 1946, in St. Louis, Mich., a son of Harvey and Audrey (Wittum) Trotter.
Surviving relatives include his wife Anita; two children, one brother, one sister and two granddaughters.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Rd., Fort Wayne, with Dr. Rex Person, officiating.
Claude Ousley, 78, of Columbia City, died at 9:17 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at his home. Born on April 25, 1934, in Risner, Ky., he was the son of James Lee and Nancy Jane (Pitts) Ousley.
He graduated from Prestonsburg High School with the class of 1953. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard.
Ishmael Banks, 61, of Fort Wayne, died at 7:49 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
Born Feb. 28, 1951 in Owensville, Ky., he was the son of James Chester and Coy M. (Johnson) Banks.
He served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. On April 6, 1973, he married Linda Erwin in Churubusco.
For 27 years he installed glass. He was a member of Columbia City Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. #189, where he served as Worshipful Master.
Larry Lee Raichart, 69, of rural Roanoke, died at 3 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his home. He had been in failing health.
He was born April 1, 1943, in Fort Wayne, a son of Clarence and Altha (Simons) Raichart.
His formative years were spent in Whitley County. He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1961.
He began working for Connerâ€™s Chevrolet in Roanoke and then Dana Spicer Axle in Fort Wayne where he retired after 30 years of service.
1965, he married Gloria J. Utterback. They have always made their home in Whitley County. She died June 12, 1978.
Lois Marie Pulley, 87, of Columbia City, died at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at her residence. Born April 15, 1925, in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Clarence David and Hulda M. (Anderson) Leininger.
She graduated from Columbia City High School with the class of 1943. On Dec. 24, 1946, she married Homer LeRoy Pulley in Columbia City.
She lived most of her lifetime in the Columbia City area where she served as the secretary of the Whitley County Welfare Department for 35 years. She was an avid reader and attended all sporting events for all her children.
William R. Mathias, 76, of Columbia City, died at 7:01 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at his home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1936, in Columbia City a son of John R. and Marjory A. (Howenstine) Mathias.
His formative years were spent in Larwill. He graduated from Larwill High School.
On Oct. 31, 2002, he married Deborah K. Monnier. They have always made their home in Columbia City.
He was employed at Precision Plastics, retiring in the late 1980s.
His memberships include Eagles #1906.
