Paul C. Radke, 70 of Somerset Township in Jerome, Mich., passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at his home.
He was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Detroit to Peter P. and Eloise C. (DeWitt) Radke.
Paul lived his early life in Indiana and then in southern Michigan.
He moved to the Jerome area 14 years ago. He graduated from Columbia City High School in 1960.
He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” Karen Lee Haskin, 57, a resident of Columbia City, died at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 in the Parkview Whitley Hospital.
She was born Feb. 28, 1954, in Columbia City, a daughter of Derald and Janyce DeWitt Coomer.
On May 12, 1976, she was united in marriage to Harry H. Haskin.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Harry; two sons, David Haskin and Jason Haskin both of Columbia City; and a grandson, Devin Haskin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kristi and Sherre.
Virginia E. â€śJenâ€ť Tippy, 83, of Columbia City, died at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Parkview Oaks where she had been a resident since Feb. 26, 2009.
She was born March 12, 1928, in Rochester, Indiana, a daughter of Herman and Readah (Baldwin) Cleland.
She graduated from Rochester High School.
On Oct. 8, 1949 she married Jack L. Tippy.
They made their home in Angola and North Manchester before moving to Columbia City in 1970. Mr. Tippy died July 5, 1977.
Martha L. Osbun, 83, a resident of rural Churubusco in Noble County and wife of Everett W. Osbun, passed away at 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at her home in Green Township.
She had been in declining health for some time, and had been seriously ill for the past week.
Mrs. Osbun was born in Green Township on April 2, 1928, a daughter of Earlin R. and Mary N. (McClain) Budd. She spent her formative years north of Churubusco in Noble County, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1946.
Betty L. Rubrake McKibbin, 84, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20 at Borgess Pipp Hospital in Plainwell, Mich.
Betty was born Oct. 9, 1927, to Lawrence E. and Pearl Blew Rubrake, one of the familyâ€™s 16 children.
Betty worked as a bookkeeper for C.W. Schrader Auto in Columbia City, Grace P. Pauley Clothing Store in St. Joseph and R & M Heating & Cooling in Coloma.
Betty married Dale McKibbin on July 31, 1954, and to them was born two sons, Mark (Amy) McKibbin of Plainwell and Brian McKibbin of Muskegon.
SOUTH WHITLEY â€” Robert W. Craft Jr., 89, of South Whitley, died at 3:23 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne where he was admitted on Sunday.
He was born Aug. 27, 1922, in Detroit, a son of Robert W. and Margaret (Allen) Craft. He graduated from high school in Detroit and continued his education.
On Sept. 14, 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He was honorably discharged Nov. 8, 1945.
On March 3, 1954, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged March 2, 1958.
Margaret (Fisher) Cavanaugh, 55, of Lafayette, formerly of Whitley County, died at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital. Born June 5, 1956, in Muncie, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Dorothy Williams Fisher.
She was a 1981 graduate of Purdue University and was a Food Services Director for 20 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, her granddaughter, her cat, and helping the mentally handicapped.
Ray Knox, 96

Ray B. Knox, 96, a resident of Fort Wayne and a retired missionary, passed away at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at the Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born Aug. 28, 1915, a son of Ernest and Nellie (Hatmaker) Knox.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
The surviving relatives include his widow, DeVere Knox; two daughters, Louise Linnemeier of rural Fort Wayne and Lucy Wallace of Berryville, Ark.; a sister, Ruth Meade of Three Rivers Mich.; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Regina Frazier, 89

Regina Mary Frazier, 89, a resident of rural Fort Wayne and wife of prominent Lake Township farmer George W. Frazier, died at 10:03 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at her home.
She was born Dec. 1, 1922, a daughter of Joseph and Anna (Molargik) Konger.
Diane Bratton, 41

KIMMEL â€” Diane M. Bratton, 41, of rural Kimmell, died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne where she was admitted Nov. 23.
She was born March 22, 1970, in Columbia City, a daughter of Roger T. and Toni G. (Butt) Lemon.
Her formative years were spent in Washington Township, Noble County. She graduated from West Noble High School and Fairfield Vocational Cosmetology School.
On Nov. 2, 1991, she was united in marriage to Brian J. Bratton. They always made their home in rural Kimmell.
