Logan Gibson, 53

March 7, 2012

Anthony Logan Gibson, 53, a resident of Merriam, passed away unexpectedly at 11:07 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Gibson was born on April 19, 1958, in Morehead, Ky., a son of Clayton L. and Ruth Lee (Terrell) Gibson, and moved to this area as a child with his parents.
He graduated from Central Noble High School in 1976, and lived in Merriam most of his life.
He had been employed as the purchasing manager at Pro Systems in Churubusco since 1997, and attended Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, Merriam.

Judy Heathman, 73

Judy A. Heathman, 73, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla. passed away March 5, 2012, in Port Saint Lucie.
Mrs. Heathman was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Fort Wayne, Indiana and came to Port Saint Lucie from Champaign, Ill. in 1978.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Calvin Heathman of Port Saint Lucie; daughter, Rhonda Blakey and her husband, Mark Blakey; and grandson, Benjamin Blakey, all of Port Saint Lucie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vivian Hendrickson; and brother, Herbert Hendrickson.
Private arrangements are with Yates Funeral Home, Port Saint Lucie.

Martha Reilly, 93

Martha L. Reilly, 93, of Columbia City and Fort Myers Beach, Fla., died March 2, 2012.
She was born Oct. 8, 1918, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late Henry and Fredericka (Heuer) Franz.
Surviving are sons, Thomas (Marti Ainsworth) Reilly, Daniel Reilly, and Robert (Sarah) Reilly; daughters, Patricia (David) Willyard, and Kathleen (Kurt) Blessing; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Reilly Jr.; grandson, Grant Reilly; two brothers and one sister.

Carl Metzger, 92

March 5, 2012

Carl E. Metzger, 92, North Manchester, died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, in Peabody Healthcare Center.
He was born May 20, 1919, in Kosciusko County to Albert H. & Fern E. (Swank) Metzger.
On Sept. 29, 1946, he married Wilda E. Poehler. She died March 17, 2010.
Surviving are a son, Lee W. Metzger, Lagrange, and a sister-in-law Wilma Pinckley of California.
One sister, Lela B. Wise is deceased.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the mortuary.

Joseph Baranowski, 63

Joseph Z. “Joe-Joe” Baranowski, 63, of Columbia City, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
Born Aug. 22, 1948, in Cherbourne, England, he was the son of Mieczyslaw and Janina Baranowski.
Survivors include his mother, Janina Baranowski and brother, George Baranowski both of Schererville.
His father, Mieczyslaw Baranowski, and sister, Jeanette Baranowski-Emery preceded him in death.
Private services have been entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City.

Sharelle Woll, 69

CHURUBUSCO — Sharelle Woll, 69, a former resident of Churubusco and more recently of Pittsboro, passed away at 10:55 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2012, at Brownsburg Healthcare Center in Brownsburg, Ind.
She had been in declining health for some time.
Sharelle was born Feb. 18, 1943, in Norfolk, Va., a daughter of Merle D. and Genevieve (Krider) Woll.
She spent most of her life in Churubusco and graduated from Churbusco High School in 1961.
Employed in the offices of the Town of Churubusco for several years, she retired from there in 2005, moving to Pittsboro at that time.

Helen Kreiger-Ziegler, 92

Helen Margaret Adella (Brown) Kreiger-Ziegler, 92, of Huntington, passed away at 6:47 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Helen was born Nov. 27, 1919, in Huntington County, the daughter of J. Clayton and Esther Luella (Ziegler) Brown.
She was a 1937 graduate of Huntington Township High School.
She continued her education at Huntington College, earning an A. B. Degree, a Masters Degree from Ball State University, and also attended Indiana University, Purdue University and Princeton University.

Margaret Moeller, 83

Margaret M. Moeller, 83, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 2, 2012, at Kingston Residence in Fort Wayne.
Born March 4, 1928, in Payne, Ohio, she graduated from Payne High School in 1947.
Margaret formerly worked at General Electric and was a waitress and cook at the Green Frog.
She also worked at Magnavox for 16 years, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and St. Paul’s Catholic Church of Columbia City.
She loved to spend time with her family and was a down-to-earth and honest woman.

Linda Bisel, 64

March 5, 2012

COLUMBIA CITY — Linda L. Bisel, 64, of Columbia City, passed away at 2:20 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Born Nov. 2, 1947, in Muncie, she was the daughter of C. Marvin and Betty L. (Stafford) Fager.
She spent her life in Albany until 1989 when she moved to her Big Lake residence.
She graduated from DeSoto High School with the class of 1966.
On July 25, 1980, she married Kenneth E. Bisel in Muncie.
She has worked at Wal-Mart, Columbia City, since opening day, 1990 in the clothing and soft lines department.

Wanda Hageman, 87

Wanda Marvine (Graves) Hageman, 87, passed away peacefully at Renaissance Village on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012.
She was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Columbia City.
Wanda graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1942.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1947.
Wanda worked many years at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne and retired from the State of Indiana TB Clinic after 17 years of service.
Wanda married Richard (Dick) Hageman on Feb. 15, 1947.
He preceded her in passing in 2007.
Wanda and Dick raised their family in Waynedale and spent their summers at Adams Lake.
