Luella M. Allen, 84, of Wawaka, widow of Charles J. Allen, passed away at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.
Born Jan. 17, 1927 in Noble County, she was a daughter of Maurice and Mildred (Myers) Schlabach.
Survivors include two children, Robert Allen and Lucinda Rose.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier with Pastor Diana Siegal officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Dean E. Miller, 65, of Columbia City died Tuesday evening May 3, 2011 at his home. He had been in failing health.
He was born Feb. 21, 1946 in Huntington, a son of the late Gene L. and Ila (Stensel Gradeless) Miller. His formative years began in Huntington then following the death of his father, they moved to South Whitley. He graduated from South Whitley High School in 1964.
On June 24, 1972 he was united in marriage to Margaret Pepple. They made their home in Whitley County.
Gloria Glee Iden, 88, of Kimmell, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 at North Ridge Village in Albion.
She was born March 12, 1923 and she married Junior D. Iden who is deceased.
Surviving is one son, Terry A. Iden and three daughters, Becky G. Miller, Linda J. Barhydt and Trudy A. White.
No public visitation or services are planned.
Memorials are to the Gideonâ€™s International or Broadway Christian Church.

Linda Lothamer Weatherholt, 60, a resident of Blue Lake near Churubusco and wife of Larry W. Weatherholt, passed away at 11:37 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born Jan. 7, 1951 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Richard L. and Lois E. (Hanauer) Lothamer.
Besides her husband and father, survivors include a daughter, Lisa Knight and a sister, Marge Dahms.
At the request of the family there will be no services or calling hours. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco is in charge of the arrangements.
Donald Scott Corbin, 52, of Wilmont, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011.
He was born March 20, 1959 to Donald Corbin and Peggy (Ondersma) McGlothlin in Kalamazoo, Mich.
He is survived by five children, Jessica, Halley, Ashley, Tonya Corbin and Izaiah Vandezande; his mother, Peggy McGlothlin; four siblings, Mark Hirschey, Heidi Harlan, Lyle McGlothlin and Lynda McGlothlin.
Larry Hambleton, 63, of Killeen, Texas, died April 30, 2011 at his home.
He was born April 13, 1948 in Fort Wayne, a son of Max and Monnabell (Ruby) Hambleton. He served in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; a daughter, Angie; a son, Chad Hambleton; three sisters, Sandra Shafter, Brenda McCurdy and Cindy Hickman.
There will be no services.

Robert James Byer, 85, went to his heavenly home Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Fort Wayne.
He was born Oct. 27, 1925 near Marshall, Mich., a son of the late Herbert and Ruby (Laukhart) Byer. A 1944 graduate of the Wolf Lake High School, he served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Following his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Noble County where he farmed until retiring at age 75.
On Nov. 19, 1949, he was united in marriage to Lois Shively, who survives him.
Robert E. Haynes, 75, a resident of Churubusco, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born June 26, 1935 in Garrett, a son of Morris and Cleatus (Thompson) Haynes, and as a young man served with the U. S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Jean and daughter, Kimberly Pape.
Barbara Lou Rider, 78, of Larwill, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at The Oaks where she had been for the past two weeks in rehabilitation.
She was born Feb. 25, 1933 in Noble County, a daughter of the late George and Effa (Owen) Kimmel. Her formative years were spent in Noble County. She graduated from Churubusco High School in 1951.
On Jan. 15, 1955 she was united in marriage to Jack L. Rider. They made their home in Noble County, moving to Larwill in 1959. Mr. Rider died Jan. 2, 2000.
Robert J. Sloffer, 88, a resident of Churubusco and widely acquainted Churubusco businessman and community leader, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at the family residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Sloffer was born in Huntertown June 7, 1922, a son of Milo and Bertha (Dunten) Sloffer, and spent his formative years in that area. He graduated from Huntertown High School in 1940 and as a young man served with the U. S. Army during World War II.
