Kathleen A. Rupert, 83, of Columbia City, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor.
She was born Sept. 24, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of Howard and Elizabeth (Gallaway) Hilyard. As an infant, her family moved to Fort Wayne. She graduated from Central High School.
In 1949 she was united in marriage to William T. Rupert. They made their home in Fort Wayne until 1953 when they moved to Whitley County, moving into Columbia City in 1989. Mr. Rupert died Dec. 18, 1992.
Richard Elmer Lohmeyer, 85, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010 at Renaissance Village. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He worked at Old Crown Brewery and for the Indiana State Highway Department. He was a 50-year member of American Legion Post 98 in Columbia City and also a 50-year member of Columbia City Lodge 189, F. & A.M. and Mizpah Temple.
Keith E. â€śSonnyâ€ť Cleland, 82, of rural Larwill died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor where he had been a resident since September.
He was born July 30, 1928 in Columbia City, a son of Carl and Ester Cleland. He spent his formative years in Columbia City and graduated from Columbia City High School.
Following his graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and served as a corporal in the Korean War.
On Feb. 14, 1959, he was united in marriage to Joyce A. Menzie. The made their home outside of Larwill.
Paul E. Rawley, 88 of Titusville, Fla. died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at his home.
He was born July 26, 1922 in New Castle, a son of Clyde and Ruby (Hamilton) Rawley.
Survivors include his wife, June (Walter) Rawley and a daughter, Camille Jo Lee.
There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements were by the National Cremation and Burial Society of Rockledge, Fla.

Thelma L. Jacobs, 90, of South Whitley, died Monday morning, Nov. 22, 2010 at her home.
Born March 6, 1920 in Kosciusko County, she was a daughter of James J. and Lena Belle (Crim) Aughinbaugh. She is a widow of Walter Jacobs.
Survivors include a son, Larry Jacobs.
The graveside service will be held at noon Friday at South Whitley Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be directed to the final expense account at Smith and Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley.

Worth Wilson Waugh, 99, of Columbia City, died at 8:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor where he had been a resident for the past few months.
He was born Jan. 30, 1911 in Thorncreek Township, a son of Charles Leigh and Ethel Gertrude (Humbarger) Waugh. A lifelong resident of Whitley County, he graduated from Columbia City High School in 1929 where he played football and was in the Junior Class play.
On Dec. 16, 1941 he was united in marriage to Blanche A. Toucha. Mrs. Waugh died Dec. 23, 1999. In 2000 he moved to Oak Pointe from his home of 54 years on Chauncey Street.
Edna A. Duff, 84, of Columbia City, died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 at The Oaks Living Center where she had been a resident since Oct. 29.
She was born Nov. 27, 1925 in Perry County, Ky., a daughter of Buddy and Mary Magdelene (DeBoard) Daniels. Her formative years were spent in Perry County.
On Nov. 28, 1942 she was united in marriage to Edward E. â€śMoseâ€ť Duff. They resided in Perry County area until 1963 when they moved to Columbia City. Mr. Duff died Dec. 19, 2008.
From 1963 until 1974 she was employed at Dana in Churubusco.
Her memberships included Freewill Baptist Church.
Judith Lynn Clifton, 65, of Carmel, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 at Clarian North Medical Center in Carmel with her loving family at her side. She was a non-smoker who courageously fought lung cancer for 5 1/2 years with great determination and strength. She was born while her father was away fighting for our freedom Feb. 23, 1945 to Lyle and LaVera (Harrison) Harshbarger in Fort Wayne.
Eileen M. Werling, 89, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Coventry Meadows Nursing Center in Fort Wayne.
Born in Fort Wayne, she worked as a secretary with Fort Wayne Community Schools for 24 years.
Surviving are her sons, N. Scott Werling of Fort Myers, Fla; F. Mark Werling of Hamilton; sister-in-law, B. Ann Auginbaugh of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ray H. and Henrietta C. Auginbaugh; husband, Frank M. Werling; and brother,
Merritt Asa Eatherton, 84, of Columbia City went quickly, but safely and peacefully home to his Lord and Savior at Parkview Whitley emergency room, Columbia City at 3:37 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010.
He was born Sept. 9, 1926 in Fostoria, Ohio, a son of Asa Brayton and Nora Mae (Vanderhoff) Eatherton.
