Mary â€śJaneâ€ť Londt, 65, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.
Born in Celina, Ohio, Jane graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Celina, Ohio and St. Ritaâ€™s School of Nursing in Lima, Ohio.
Jane was a registered nurse for McCray and Parkview Noble Hospitals for 32 years, retiring in 2010, and also co-owned CPR+ since 1989.
Merle F. Stienbarger, 91, of Churubusco, passed away at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at home in Churubusco.
Mr. Stienbarger was born June 6, 1922, in Brimfield, a son of Walter Samuel and Geneva (Cler) Stienbarger.
He spent his formative years in Allen County, and graduated from Huntertown High School.
On Jan. 15, 1941, he was married in Columbia City to Eunice Willene Jones, and moved to his present farm in Eel River Township in 1954.
He was a lifelong Eel River Township farmer, was employed as an independent contractor, and also worked at McCoy Lumber.
Arthur W. Parry Jr., 90, of Fort Wayne passed away Feb. 5, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at his home.
He was born Aug. 2, 1923, in Fort Wayne. He graduated from South Side High School and earned his B.A. from DePauw University and attended Indiana University studying journalism and law.
Ronald L. Shoemaker, 59, of Columbia City, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Born Jan. 18, 1955, Ron was the son of Harold â€śBudâ€ť Shoemaker and Sandra (Moore) Dujardin.
He was raised in Osceola and graduated from Penn High School with the Class of 1973. In 1985, Ron moved to Columbia City.
Elizabeth Ann â€śBettyâ€ť Plew, 68, of North Webster, passed away at 8:01 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at her home after a two-year battle with cancer.
She grew up in Delphos, Ohio, and was the daughter of Hubert J. and Catherine (Stallkamp) Burger and graduated from St. John High School.
On May 21, 1993, in Warsaw, she married Thomas R. â€śTomâ€ť Plew who survives and moved to the North Webster area from Fort Wayne.
Ruby Mae Hite, 95, of Columbia City and formerly of Huntington, passed away Friday Feb. 14, 2014, at 10:10 p.m. at her sonâ€™s home in Waynesboro, Tenn. She was a homemaker.
Ruby was born March 1, 1918, in Wabash, the daughter of Horace and Sarah Fay (Shultz) Winkler.
On Sept. 19, 1936, she married Elmer Gayle Hite in Plymouth and he passed away Jan. 28, 1991.
Gladys Juanita Gerding, 71, of Larwill, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
She was born Sept. 23, 1942, in Summerset, Ky. and was the daughter of Goldie and Louella (Parsons) Bell.
She grew up in Union City and was married Nov. 12, 1972, in Marion, Ky. to Donald Gerding.
She was employed as an assembler for Maple Leaf Farms for 13 years. She enjoyed knitting blankets.
Donald R. Worley, 74, of South Whitley passed away at 11:42 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
He was born on March 17, 1939 in Illinois. He was the son of Marion and Viola (Andre) Worley. He graduated from Atwood High School with the Class of 1957.
He served with U.S. Army for two years and 11 months. He married Wanda Lee Brunner March 1, 1966, in Warsaw.
Don worked at Dana Corporation, Syracuse for 17 years in the Transmission Department.
Arlo H. Knouff, 79, of southwest Noble County, died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Miller Merry Manor, Columbia City where he had been a resident for the past two weeks.
He was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Kosciusko County, a son of Howard and Ora (Grimes) Knouff.
Surviving relatives include his wife, three children, two granddaughters, a brother and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
Maureen Rheda Story, 65, of Columbia City, passed away at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born April 13, 1948, in Marion, she was the daughter of Edward J. and Eileen M. (Beshlian) Lantz.
She graduated from Marion Bennett High School with the Class of 1966 and Siena Heights University in Adrian, Mich., with the Class of 1970 with a bachelors degree in sociology.
