Gerald E. Stayer, 81, of North Manchester, died at 11:07 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
He was born April 25, 1933 in Whitley County, to Ernest D. and Etha Lovell (Druley) Stayer.
On Oct. 1, 1955 he married Phyllis Sims. He worked at Controls, North Manchester, for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
He was a member of Missionary Church, North Manchester, and a life member of Moose in North Manchester and past member of American Legion Post #286, North Manchester. Gerald enjoyed woodworking.

Keith Noyer, 92

Keith Noyer, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 3:09 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born March 3, 1922 in Allen County, he was the son of Ora and Mable (Bracey) Noyer.
Keith graduated from Arcola High School with the Class of 1940 and attended Indiana Technical College.

Hideko Kameya-Richeson, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at home Jan. 29, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Born Dec. 25, 1927, in Okinawa, Japan. She was dedicated to family and had a deep admiration for nature.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca Richeson, Carl Richeson, Kenneth Richeson and Yvonne Ruth (Pete) Reidy; sister, Yuriko Kinjo; grandchildren, Lana (Chris) Goodrich, Sara (Mark) Berkey, Melissa Richeson (fiancé Evan), Colin Reidy, Logan Reidy, Nolan Reidy and nine great-grandchildren.

Max Heinzman, 88

Max Heinzman, 88, of Columbia City, died at 3:12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
He was born June 12, 1926 in Omaha, Neb. a son of William H.C. and Edith F. (Tennebaum) Heinzman. His formative years were spent in Omaha. He graduated from Omaha Technical High School and United Television Lab in Louisville, Ky.
On June 10, 1944 he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as a Radarman 2C aboard the Carrier CVE-20 in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was honorably discharged June 16, 1946

Amanda Bianski Espy, 34

Amanda Bianski Espy, 34, a resident of Fort Wayne and formerly of Columbia City, passed away at 9:53 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Amanda was born in Auburn Feb. 6, 1980, a daughter of Bryan L. and Lori (Gardenour) Bianski. She spent most of her formative years in Columbia City and graduated from Columbia City High School in 1998.
On Sept. 10, 2005 she was married in Fort Wayne to John E. Espy, and lived all of her adult life there.

Donald E. Sullivan, 88, of Columbia City, died at 5:13 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 in the emergency room of Parkview Whitley Hospital.
He was born Nov. 14, 1926 in Lebanon, Ind. a son of M. Floyd and Ruby A. (Sallee) Sullivan. In 1943 his family moved to Columbia City. He graduated from Columbia City High School.
In Nov. 1944 he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946.

Patricia J. Rectanus, 84, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of LaGrange, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2015 at Englewood Nursing and Rehab Center in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Rectanus was born March 10, 1930 in Fort Wayne to Wayne and Emma (Riggs) Gaylord.
In 1978 Mrs. Rectanus moved to Big Turkey Lake in LaGrange County from Fort Wayne. She worked for many years as a department manager at the former Miller’s Department Store and Mr. Wiggs in Fort Wayne.
On April 3, 1946 in Angola, she married John P. Rectanus; he preceded her in death Jan. 17, 2005.

Gene Boggs, 62

Gene “Gene-O” Boggs, 62, of Grantsville, Utah passed away Jan. 24, 2015. He was born Jan. 18, 1953 in Whitley County to Kenneth M. and Alice Eileen (Sheets) Boggs and was raised there until he decided to “head west” and move to Utah in 1992.
Gene was a Harley enthusiast; he loved working on his motorcycles and his big rig on the weekends as well having a beer with his friends at The Dead Dog Saloon.
He was an owner operator of his own trucking company GT Transport.

Idamae L. Deem, 82, a former resident of Churubusco and widow of Harold L. Deem, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at Miller’s at Oak Pointe in Columbia City following an extended illness.
Mrs. Deem was born June 18, 1932 in Craigville in Wells County, a daughter of Merlin L. and Clara H. (Chandler) Ernst. She spent her formative years in Allen, Mich. and graduated from Quincy High School in 1950.

Kenneth M. Bohnstedt, 59

Kenneth M. Bohnstedt, 59, a resident of Fort Wayne and a native of Churubusco, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at the family residence in Eel River Township following an extended illness.
Mr. Bohnstedt was born Feb. 1, 1955 in Garrett, a son of Gene A. and Martha A. (Myers) Bohnstedt, and spent his formative years in Churubusco. He graduated from Churubusco High School in 1974, and earned his technical certificate from Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis.
