Savannah B. Lepley, 95, of Columbia City, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Millerâs Merry Manor in Columbia City.
Born Oct. 13, 1918, in Whitley County, she was the daughter of Lewis and Anna (Rhodes) Jones.
She graduated from Pierceton High School with the Class of 1936. After graduation, she married Guy Lepley.
Savannah worked at the Sears store off Rudisill Blvd. in Fort Wayne for more than 25 years, retiring in 1994. She is a member of Westfield Presbyterian Church and Calvary Third Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne.
Shirley A. Sparks, 77, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, after a short illness.
Born in Jodie, W.Va., Shirley worked as a nursing assistant at the Towne House Retirement Center for 33 years caring for the elderly. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne.
Shirley will be remembered as a loving wife, an amazing mom and a fun âGran,â who always went out of her way to be kind and care for those in her life.

Reverend George Webster Sr., 93 of South Whitley, passed away at 10:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, in his residence.
On Oct. 5, 1920, he was born in Booneville, to Dallas and Elzie (Bryant) Webster.
He married Betty J. Sroufe May 7, 1941, in Sidney, who preceded him in death May 24, 1997. He then married Mary Belle Chandler on June 1, 1998, who also preceded him in death.
Garnett Bernelia Fabian, 87, passed to be with the Lord, Tuesday Nov. 12, 2013, at Parkview Oaks, Columbia City.
She resided most of her life in South Bend. She was born in Barbour County, W. Va., April 13, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Andrew H. Mayle and Lucille (Norris) Mayle.
Garnett was married to George B. Bojtor from 1947 until his death in 1992 and to Harold Sigmund Fabian from 2001 until his death in 2011.
Garnett enjoyed being with family and friends, music, dancing, and had a wonderful smile and sense of humor.
Phillip R. Kessie, 59, of Columbia City, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at his home surrounded by family.
Born Aug. 27, 1954, in Whitley County, he was the son of Gerald R. and Barbara R. (Amendt) Kessie.
He was a lifetime resident of Whitley County. He graduated from Whitko High School with the Class of 1972, which was the first class to graduate from the new high school.
On May 29, 1999, he married Victoria J. Hileman in Columbia City.
Donna K. (Keisling) (Anglin) Wilburn, 64, of Columbia City, passed away at 11:21 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born Feb. 28, 1949, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Albert and Viola M. (Stock) Keisling.
She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1967. In high school, she was active in the band and show choir. On March 27, 1993, she married Connie J. Wilburn in Columbia City.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Ruth I. Billings, 85, of Noble County, died at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at her home.
She was born June 23, 1928, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Edward August and Margaret Pauline (Boland) Gosda.
Surviving relatives include four children, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, and a sister.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Vickie J. (Lee) Kirkwood, 59, of Anderson went to be with the Lord Nov. 10, 2013, at St. Vincentâs Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born Aug. 1, 1954, in Noble County, to Lennis Lee and Donna Bell (Winebrenner) Cearbaugh.
She was a waitress at various restaurants in Columbia City and Anderson, where she lived since 1991.
Charles E. Macy, 82, a resident of Churubusco, passed away unexpectedly at 8:08 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at the Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.
Mr. Macy was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Richmond, a son of Oscar and Mary (Hamilton) Macy.
He moved to this area as a child with his parents, and graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1951.
As a young man he served with the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict, and was married in Noble County on Oct. 11, 1952, to Patricia L. Halsey.
Patricia A. Durbin, 85, of Kendallville died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at 2:55 a.m. in Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville.
She has lived in this area for 53 years, coming from South Bend.
She was a graduate of South Bend Central High School and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, both in South Bend.
Mrs. Durbin was a registered nurse. She worked as a surgical nurse at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She also worked as the industrial nurse for 25 years at Kraft Foods in Kendallville.
