Ross H. Clouse, 91, a resident of Churubusco, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 10:44 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, at his home following an extended illness.
Mr. Clouse was born April 10, 1923, a son of Harmon and Martha (Riddle) Clouse.
He spent his formative years on the family farm in Green Township in Noble County and graduated from Churubusco High School.
On Dec. 31, 1943, he was married in Churubusco to Evelyn Budd, and lived all of his adult life in the Churubusco-area.
Linda L. Bresler, 67, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born in Fort Wayne, Linda worked as a teachers aid with Whitley County Schools for 22 years, retiring in 2005.
She enjoyed traveling and most of all, spending time with and taking care of her family.
Franklin A. Bush, 83, of Columbia City, passed away at 11:39 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, in Columbia City.
Born March 26, 1931, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Roscoe and Hildegarde (Weaver) Bush.
He graduated from Churubusco High School with the Class of 1949 and went on to receive his bachelor of science degree from Indiana University in 1958. Franklin earned his masterâs degree at the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1965.
Roger B. Thomson, 81, of Columbus, passed from this life at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at his home.
Born in South Whitley, Jan. 31, 1933, Mr. Thomson was the son of Ralph Benjamin and Prudence White Thomson. He married Nellie W. Newell Sept. 11, 1953.
Mr. Thomson was drafted into the U.S. Army in April 1953, during the Korean War; he was honorably discharged in 1955.
He received a bachelors degree in electronic engineering from Indiana Tech in 1960, and was the salutatorian of is class.
Cathy Bewak, 71, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Robert and Madelyn Walter, and her companion, Preston Stackhouse.
Surviving are her children, Christy (Dave) Roberts of Brighton, Mich., Todd (Susie) Neff of Decatur, and brother, Larry (Becky) Walter of Columbia City.

Ann Smith, 75, of rural Columbia City, died Friday evening, July 18, 2014, at her home.
She was born Nov. 15, 1938, in South Whitley, a daughter of Arthur H. and Marguerite B. (McConnell) Bechtold. Her formative years were spent in South Whitley. She graduated from South Whitley High School in 1956.
On Jan. 25, 1957, she was united in marriage to Richard D. Smith. They made their home south of Columbia City for 31 years before moving to their home at New Lake. Mr. Smith died July 31, 1993.
She was employed at Essex/Coupled Products for more than 35 years.
Thomas T. Rudd, 88, of South Whitley, passed away at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Culver, the son of Maurice Henry and Lois Isabelle (Todd) Rudd.
Tom graduation from South Whitley High School with the Class of 1944 and went on to attend Butler University.
He served with the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II from 1944 and was discharged in 1946.
Victor âJoeâ Adkins, 82, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014. He was born in Denver, Ind., son of the late, William and Edna Adkins.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and was also a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. He retired in 1994 after 36 years of service with United Telephone-Sprint.
Kathryn Agnes Leffel, 93, of Larwill, went to be with her Savior at 5 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014, at Mason Health & Rehab, Warsaw where she had been a resident since March.
She was born April 8, 1921, near Raber, a daughter of Millard and Goldia Agnes (Conner) Kyler.
Her formative years were spent in Jefferson Township. She completed her education at Jefferson Center High School.
On April 26, 1940, she married Robert S. Leffel in Fort Wayne, moving to Larwill after a short period. Mr. Leffel went to be with the Lord Aug. 4, 1995.
Frank Krantz, of Columbia City, passed away March 24, 2014. He was born Dec. 5, 1943.
He is survived by Donata Sturgill, Philip Krantz and Susan Bowen. He was a beloved father and friend, and will be missed.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday for Mr. Krantz at the Veterans Post in South Whitley at 3 p.m.
