Arline J. Jones, 87, formerly of Columbia City, died early Thursday morning, Feb. 26, 2015 at Englewood Health & Rehab, Fort Wayne.
She was born July 18, 1927 in Thorncreek Township, Whitley County, a daughter of Floyd D. and Gladys L. (Betzner) Chapman. She attended Thorncreek School and graduated from Columbia City High School.
On July 26, 1947 she was united in marriage to William E. Jones. They made their home in Columbia City.

Thaine Eugene Ford, 87, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
Thaine was born to Jesse and Dorothy Ford Aug. 1, 1927 in Wilburton, Kansas. He moved to northeast Indiana as a young boy and graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne. He earned a bachelorâ€™s degree from Huntington College in Indiana and a masterâ€™s degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Doris M. Frantz, 84, of Warsaw, formerly of Sidney, died peacefully in her sleep and went to be with her heavenly Father at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 in Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 4, 1930 in Bracken, to Allison A. and Amanda M. (Walton) Hill.

Larry D. Davis, 64, of Columbia City, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. Born May 7, 1950 in Warsaw, he was the son of Thomas and Mary (Hackworth) Davis.
He graduated from South Whitley High School with the Class of 1969. Following high school, Larry enlisted with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Kay E. Jones, 75

Kay E. Jones, 75, of Columbia City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 at her home. Born Jan. 10, 1940 in Richmond, she was the daughter of Leroy Hopping and Mary Alice (Richardson) Bailey.
Kay graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1958. Following her graduation on June 12, 1958, Kay married Theodore â€śTedâ€ť Jones at the Cambridge City Catholic Church. Shortly after, Tedâ€™s job at UPS brought the two up to Loon Lake. After Ted passed away in 1987, she moved into Columbia City in 1990.
Virginia Bulmer, 82

Virginia L. Bulmer, 82, a former resident of Churubusco and widow of Herbert M. Bulmer, passed away at 12:03 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Bulmer was born on Feb. 4, 1933 in Calla, Kent., a daughter of Matt and Flossie E. (Kincaid) Fletcher.
The surviving relatives include her children Peggy (James) Ryan of Fort Wayne, Debra (Richard) Parks of Churubusco, and Terry (Cheryl) Bulmer of Ossian; nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
William Kearby, 85

William Kenneth Kearby, 85, of Fort Myers, Florida since 1997, died peacefully February 17, 2015.
Bill was born in Edmond, Okla. in 1930 a son of William Ward Kearby and Mary Lou Cleaver.
He moved to Northern Indiana in 1949 and married Mary Louise Putman in 1950.
He was an executive in Information Systems at Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company until he retired in 1995.
Bill loved being with family and friends, telling stories, teaching Adult Sunday School and volunteering at the hospital.
Henry â€śHankâ€ť LaHurreau, 69
Henry â€śHankâ€ť LaHurreau, 69, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at his residence. Born in Fort Wayne, Hank served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969.
Later he worked as a telephone installer with Verizon for 34 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, past Master of Columbia City #189 F & AM, past officer of the York Rite Bodies, Past Grand Commander of Indiana Grand Commandery and 33rd Scottish Rite.
Dominic Devito, 68

Dominic Devito, 68, of Columbia City, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor at The Oaks, Columbia City. Born April 9, 1946 in Bagnoli, Italy, he was the son of Nazzario and Olga (Donatiello) DeVita.
He grew up in Powell River, B.C. and graduated from Max Cameron High School, Powell River with the Class of 1964. He earned his bachelor of arts from Washington State University and went on to receive his master of music at Indiana University, Bloomington in 1971.

Robert â€śHalâ€ť Lane, 84, of Columbia City, passed away at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City. Born July 25, 1930 in Tipton, he was the son of Porter and Rose (Jobin) Lane.
Hal graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 1948 and attended Purdue University before being drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
