FORT WAYNE — The end of a high school career comes for every senior.
The end came Thursday night for eight Columbia City girls’ soccer members.
After winning a definitive sectional opener over FW North Side 12-0, the Lady Eagles took on the tough task of playing another Fort Wayne team in the semifinal round, No. 8 Bishop Dwenger.
Led by Division I recruit Sarah Killion’s four goals, the Lady Saints beat Columbia City 5-0, advancing to the sectional championship versus Homestead Saturday.
When the postseason opens up for Indiana high school football next week, the fans will need an extra buck at the ticket booth.
Tickets for the sectional round had a one dollar hike from the regular $5 cost from seasons prior. The new cost was determined by the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA).
Fans don’t have to worry about buying tickets early. Tickets will be sold both in athletic offices during school hours and at the entrances on game night.
