CC preps for potential shoot-out

October 28, 2010

Could it be another East Noble shoot-out? The potential is there.
Two 9-1 teams will meet Friday night in the semifinal round of class 4A sectional 11 when No. 8 Columbia City travels to Angola.
Each touts a highly productive passing offense led by a senior quarterback.
Coming out ahead in a 56-55 offensive marathon at East Noble earlier in the season, Columbia City quarterback Logan Rehrer and the Eagles relish the chance for a repeat.

Sectional favorites rushing for spot in championship

October 28, 2010

A pre-sectional championship comes Friday night with Churubusco (9-1) heading to Southern Wells (8-2) for class A sectional 35.
Two teams state ranked for the entire season square off in what has the feeling of a championship caliber game.
On the other side of the bracket two 5-5 teams await a title shot. The winner of the Raiders-Eagles game will go into the match-up as the odds-on favorite with only three losses between the two programs.
